Righteous Kill (DVD) 2008 - A Twisting Thriller movie

Righteous Kill is a 2008 crime thriller movie directed by Jon Avnet and stars Robert De Niro as Detective Thomas Turk, Al Pacino as Detective David Rooster and Carla Gugino as Detective Karen Corelli.

The film begins with Turk facing the camera and revealing about the murders of 14 people, which narrates the whole story. Only one person is involved behind this serial killing. From here, the story moves to the flashback, where Turk and his partner Rooster were given an assignment in taking down the drug dealer, Spider (Curtis). They spy a female lawyer who was caught for using drugs, purchased from Spider. Soon, Spider senses danger and tries to escape from the detectives. But Turk somehow arrests Spider after a gunfight.

In the meanwhile, a rapist who was arrested by Turk is released on a technicality basis. But, the rapist is shot to death in his apartment by an unseen murderer. The killer leaves behind a poem as a hint for the detectives. Now it's the job of these detectives to find this killer who has been the latest in a line of criminals with a poem left at the crime scene. As the pressure builds up in this case, two more detectives Perez (Leguizamo) and Riley (Wahlberg) join this case to help Turk and his partner, Rooster in tracing out the murderer. But for Turk, it is inconvenient to join the new duo, since he is currently dating Detective Karen Corelli -- Perez's ex-girlfriend.

As the investigation deeps out, Rooster doubts that the serial killer could be a cop. Can the detectives trace out the killer?
